Having your ceiling fan direction set right can save you money on your utility bill by circulating your warm air in the winter and cooling you in the summer.
You change the direction of your ceiling fan by flicking the direction switch to the opposite direction on your ceiling fan housing or selecting the correct settings on your remote. Sometimes it is not as easy as this so we have a few more solutions for you below.
But first, lets discuss the easier options before getting into the more difficult solutions for changing the direction of your ceiling fan.
Your reverse switch should be located on the ceiling fan housing or motor. This is found usually on the side or top of the motor, but can sometimes be found within the light kit. If it is located within the light kit you will need to first remove your ceiling. fan light globe to access the reverse switch.
